Alaska Arctic Char and Grayling Arctic Char Arctic Char are present in many river systems of the area. During the salmon spawn Char are very willing to eat egg imatations.Early in the season they are also happy to take dry flys. They are sometimes present in great numbers, providing incredible Alaska flyfishing.The Naknek system is home to both Arctic Char and their sea-run cousin Dolly Varden. Arctic Grayling Grayling are almost always willing to take a dry fly. They will also take nymphs, egg patterns, and small streamers. Like char they are present in most systems.
