Alaska Arctic Char and Grayling
Arctic Char Arctic Char are present in many river systems of the area. During the salmon spawn Char are very willing to eat egg imatations.Early in the season they are also happy to take dry flys. They are sometimes present in great numbers, providing incredible Alaska flyfishing.The Naknek system is home to both Arctic Char and their sea-run cousin Dolly Varden. Arctic Grayling Arctic Grayling are a very beautiful and unique fish. Grayling can be caught on dry flies, nymphs, egg patterns, and small streamers. They always seem to be very willing to eat, which makes them a favorite among begining fly-fisherman. Seeing a fish take a dry on the surface is fun for all.
